About your job:
As an HR Specialist you will provide professional HR support to the HR Business Support team and operational line managers within Hamad International Airport. Supports, coaches & advises line managers on HR policies, procedures & processes. Supports the development of HR strategy and interventions relating to employee engagement initiatives, retention, staff welfare, performance management and employee relations.
Your key accountabilities will include but not be limited to working with QDFC line managers within HIA advising & assisting in the understanding and implementation of HR policies & procedures
  •  Implement and advise on HR policies and processes in relation to performance management, disciplinary investigations and absence management ensuring best practice is adopted
  •  Provide support and advice to line managers on the performance evaluation and development planning processes
  •  Ensure Company processes, procedures and key employee related matters are communicated to line managers and relevant employees within HIA
  •  Coach line managers on key HR and management skills in order to develop line manager capability in conducting investigations, evaluations, performance development reviews, absence management etc.
  •  Analyze trends & gather data in relation to HR related matters within HIA proposing actions or solutions to improve processes or to ensure best practice e.g. review of exit interview data & proposal of retention action plans
  •  Initiates & supports employee engagement activities within HIA
  •  Ensures best practice is adopted within the internal investigation process, analyzing and evaluating information and supporting investigation hearings
  •  Acts as a first point of contact for HR related queries within HIA

Management & Leadership
  • Establish the teams objectives and priorities to align with the HR strategy and business requirements.
  •  Evaluate the teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, making appropriate changes if needed to improve process or efficiencies.
  •  Oversee and supervise employees based within the HIA HR team. Coordinating and reviewing activities on a daily basis to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
  •  Liaise closely with key stakeholders & work on the implementation & operational delivery of the policies, procedures & processes that support business needs
  •  Act as an HR interface between Line Managers & employees within HIA demonstrating key HR behaviors & values

Development
  • Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of HR functional knowledge expertise.
  • Train and develop the team to develop key functional knowledge and competencies to improve the service delivery of the team
  • Coach, advise & develop the skills of line mangers on the management of investigations, sickness & absence, performance management etc.
  • Undertake HR related projects and initiatives to develop best practice and effectiveness.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About you:
You will hold a diploma/ associate degree with an advanced degree or recognised accreditation in Human Resources as an advantage. 
You will have at least 5 years of job related experience with a minimum of 2 years experience in HR function at a management level.
You will need strong English communication skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and best practice HR management theories.  You will have proven management skills and an ability to engage, inspire and influence people.

About Your Job:
You will be responsible for the overall control of the shift as a direct representative of the Airport Services Duty Manager ensuring the punctuality and safety of all Qatar Airways operations. You will be responsible for the day to day operations and act as a liaison between airport service providers and users. With a constant focus on efficiency improvements you will ensure passenger and aircraft handling practices conform to  safety and security regulations. Being naturally customer service oriented you will resolve any customer problems and complaints efficiently liaising on a daily basis with all departments including Customer Relations to provide swift resolutions.
Strong supervisory skills are important in order to manage and control manpower on a shift to ensure optimal utilisation and to maintain a positive working environment. You will conduct spot-checks to ensure standards are maintained as well as briefing sessions on a shift basis.

About You:
To be successful in this role you will need a College Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years experience in an Airline or a reputed GHA on a supervisory level. You will have a good overall knowledge of airport functions in terms of passenger and baggage handling, weight and balance and dangerous goods. Knowledge of international conditions of carriage, civil aviation safety and security procedures in accordance with ICAO and IATA is also required.
You will need previous experience at a supervisory level. You must be strongly motivated and result-oriented. Computer literacy is a must. High energy, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, attention to detail and the ability to coach and mentor a team are essential to succeed in this very high pressured and demanding environment. Fluent English communication skills is essential.

You will be responsible to perform variety of routine and complex tasks in analyzing and administering various components of the Cabin Safety Reporting System. You will also manage and administer the Cabin Safety Reporting system in AQD.
You will be assist in the implementation of the Safety Management System within Cabin Services that meets with national requirements. You will also be required to conduct gap analysis of the data gathered through CSR’s to provide trend analysis and to identify risks associated with the operation in regards to Cabin Services.
You will provide information / feedback to Flight Safety department for incidents that occur on board and also assist in incident / accident investigation

About You:
To be successful in this role you should be
Essential
Diploma or Associate Degree or equivalent
Experienced - minimum 2 years of job-related experience required
In airline operations as a Safety Instructor or Cabin Crew with a minimum of 3 years as a CSD.
Cabin Safety Officer must be computer literate and capable of producing statistical data / reports for management review.
 Preferred
Experience in the analysis of cabin safety data and the investigation of incidents and serious incidents.
Experience in database management would be an advantage.
Must have knowledge of Safety Management Systems.
Must have knowledge of aviation & aircraft systems.
Should be familiar with the hierarchy of legislation (ICAO, EU-OPS or QCAR-OPS and Ops Manuals including the Cabin Safety Procedures Manual) and international safety bodies such as IATA (IOSA standards) etc.
Knowledge of safety statistical measurement methodology is preferable.

About Your Job:
This role supports the management of overall HR activities,ensuring HR employee relations services are delivered effectively to the staff and management of HIA through overseeing the function of HR administration which includes the following:
- Support HIA business units and the HIA recruitment team in maintaining and managing all manpower budgetary information and tracking the recruitment of staff against budgeted positions throughout the year.
- Support the induction and on boarding process initiated by QRG HR Recruitment Services, acting as a liaison between HIA HR and Recruitment Services up to the point of staff handover to HIA.
- Organize monthly HIA Orientation for new joining staff.  Coordinate between external and internal trainers and participants.
- Maintain a register of all organization charts and job descriptions for HIA.
- Work closely to update and modify all job descriptions and organization charts as necessary in consultation with the departments and in coordination with the QRG HR Remuneration, Policies and Project team.

About You:
  • Bachelor Degree with HR related study preferred
  • Experienced - minimum 2 years of job-related experience required
  • Experience in Human Resources in a large organisation with a multicultural workforce.  Experience preferably in a related industry (airports, aviation, or airline).
  • Proven experience of demonstrating flexibility to meet the changing demands of a business.
  • Exposure to a HRMIS such as ORACLE.
  • Proven experience in managing effective working relationships and offering best practice HR advice to senior organisational leaders.
